Rules
Short list, enforced
Fewer rules than most servers, applied consistently. The competitive rules are stricter than the general ones because a ladder only works if the results are trustworthy.
Conduct
Trash talk is part of the game and always has been. Harassment is not. The line is whether it stays about the match.
- No slurs, no harassment, no targeting someone across matches or sessions.
- No sharing anyone's personal information, ever. This is the one rule with no warning attached.
- No impersonating staff or other players through name choice.
- No advertising other servers in chat.
Cheating
Any modification to the client that changes what you can do in a match is cheating. That includes aim assistance, movement modification, damage modification, wallhacks, and injecting anything into the process.
Explicitly allowed, so nobody has to ask:
- Changing your own key bindings, sensitivity or graphics settings.
- Recording, streaming and overlay software that does not read or write game memory.
- Any input device that sends one input per physical action. Macros that send several do not qualify.
Exploiting a bug is treated separately from cheating. Finding one and reporting it costs you nothing. Finding one and farming it in ranked matches costs you the account.
What the automatic system does
Most of what stops cheating here is not a detector at all: the server decides every hit, so a client that lies about damage is simply not believed. What follows is the layer on top of that, and it is written down because being punished by a process nobody can read is its own grievance.
Findings are recorded in two categories and they are treated completely differently.
- Tampering. A debugger attached to the game, the code section rewritten in memory, a memory scanner running, a module injected into the process, or the process clock running away from the system clock. None of these has an innocent explanation. Two inside seven days bans the account automatically, and the machine with it. One ends the session.
- Flagged for review. Everything else — a movement jump larger than the game produces, a shot the server counted as impossible, unusually even timing. Every one of these has a known honest cause: a connection spiking, a packet arriving late, a steady hand. These never ban anyone and never will. They are kept so a pattern across sessions is visible to a person, and that is the whole job.
Timing is deliberately excluded from anything automatic. K-Style is execution measured in milliseconds, and a system that treats being fast and consistent as evidence would eventually come for the best player on the server.
Counts are published. Not names — a public list of accusations is a pillory and one false positive away from being a lie about somebody — but how many accounts were caught tampering, over what period, stated plainly in the patch notes.
Accounts
- One person, as many accounts as you like — except in Clan War, where see below.
- Do not share an account. If it cheats, the person who owns it answers for it.
- Do not sell or trade accounts. Nothing on this server has real-world value and treating it as if it does invites the wrong people.
Clan War
The competitive rules are stricter, because the ladder is the one thing on the server where results are recorded permanently.
- Roster locks are hardware-bound. A character is locked to a clan roster for the season and to the machine it plays from. Playing on a second account to boost a clan you are also rostered in ends both.
- Leaving a ranked match is a forfeit. Disconnects are indistinguishable from rage-quits from the server's point of view, so they are treated the same. Repeat forfeits carry a queue penalty that scales.
- No match fixing, no rating manipulation. Arranging losses, queue-sniping to dodge an opponent, or feeding a friendly clan removes the clan from the ladder for the season.
- Substitutes must be on the roster before the queue starts. The map ban phase is fifteen seconds; there is no time to negotiate a substitution inside it and no mechanism to allow one.
Enforcement
Three outcomes, and they are applied in proportion to what happened rather than escalating automatically:
- Warning. Conduct, first offence, no lasting harm done.
- Suspension. Repeat conduct problems, exploit abuse, ladder manipulation. Duration stated at the time.
- Permanent ban. Cheating, doxxing, or a suspension that did not land.
Cheating bans are permanent and are not negotiated down. Match results from a banned account are removed from the ladder where they affected another clan's standing.
Appeals
Appeal in the Discord, once, in writing. False positives happen and are worth fixing; the appeal exists for those. An appeal that consists of restating that you did not do it, without anything new, gets one reply.
